The Home Educators Student Sports Association (HESSA) is here to support the 11,000 Home Educating students across Aotearoa New Zealand to participate at every level of sport. The mission of HESSA is to advance the health and wellbeing of our communities by enabling and promoting equitable opportunities for participation and competition for all students from ages 5 to 18 years of age.

Membership to HESSA is free. There are two avenues for membership:

1. Active Membership - choose this option if you want to enrol your family - parents/ caregivers and homeeducating children. This membership is for those with children wishing to participate and compete in sporting events

2. Associate Membership - choose this option if you want to join HESSA to support the organisation. This membership does not have the ability to participate or compete in sporting events.

Please note that the +add person option currently does not work from mobile or chromebook type devices. Please register each family member seperately and HESSA will manually connect your family members in the backend of the system.
